Demetrius Navarro

Demetrius is a native Los Angelino and has worked extensively in film and television. His film debut was in FRIDAY opposite Ice Cube and Chris Tucker and segued into leading roles in 187, Soldier Boyz, The Yardsale, and the award winning feature Runaways. Soon he was dividing his time with the multi-Emmy Award winning series ER at 50 plus episodes and Telemundo’s top rated sitcom Los Beltran, produced by Sony/Tri-Star. His role on ER as quick-tongued, opinioned paramedic Morales, earned him a nomination for an ALMA Award, Best Supporting Actor. Other television credits include guest starring on The O.C., CSI Miami, and NYPD Blue. Mr. Navarro is the CEO of the Award Winning Production Company ‘D Street Films’. His producing credits include the feature films Short Fuse, The Last Letter, Purple Heart, and Runaways. D Street Films is currently in development for the television pilot ‘Jeremy’s Place’ starring Jeremy Miller and has completed ‘Lean Like A Cholo’ starring Billboard Music Award winner, Down aka Kilo, Valente Rodriguez, Tiny Lister, Vida Guerra, and John Amos.  He is set to direct the feature Furious Nights, to begin production this summer.

Erlinda Orozco
Actress/Co-Producer

 Ms. Orozco has stirred up some noise in the entertainment industry and Entertainment Weekly is quoted as calling her “…the next Selma Hayek”. She has numerous national commercials for major brands and is hot off the press in Lion's Gate's romantic comedy "Party Animalz", co-stars in feature "Vengeance", where she also wrote and sang the song "Look to the sky" for the feature. Other films include the independent movie "Killer Snake", the theatrically released "SHACKLES", the romantic comedy "The Yardsale", and what she considers her best work to date, "Lady Killer", a psychological thriller. She produced the horror film “Uncharted”, which is set to be released on Halloween of 2009.


Carlos Bermudez
Writer/Producer

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Carlos graduated from Las Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. His career as a writer began in 1988 with the guidance and support of Family Ties’ creator and Executive Producer Gary David Goldberg. In 1995 he received his first writing assignment on Valdez, an NBC pilot starring Cheech Marin and Bill Macy. From there he went on to create the first original Spanish language sitcom produced in Hollywood called Los Beltrán. He was Executive Producer and head writer for a critically acclaimed series that in just two years earned a Golden Eagle Award, an Alma Award, an Imagen Award and two GLAAD Award nominations. Thanks to the success of Los Beltrán Carlos also wrote two pilot scripts for Columbia TriStar and one for PAX TV.  Most recently Carlos wrote the screenplay Furious Nights which is set to be in pre-production this summer and is currently working on a rewrite of Parkside for Seventh Art Entertainment. For the past two years he has been consulting for Emmy Award winning A Place of Our Own / Los Niños en su Casa for PBS. Last, but not least he is developing a one-hour drama, The Secrets of El Conquistador in association with Roselyn Sanchez and De Passe Entertainment group.

 

 
Edwin Licona
Director of Acquisitions/Producer

Has more than a decade of experience in the Home Video Entertainment Industry, including Management, Wholesale and Retail sales, art direction and Video Distribution Operations. As Director Of Acquisitions and programming, Edwin had a hand in every aspect of product released through Image Entertainment. His unique approach to the business stems from more than 12 years of successful experience in Entertainment. Responsible for 1.7 million units sold through retail and over $22 Million dollars in revenue. Formally from Image Intertainment & Tristan Leostar Films.

      

 
Ric Smith
Line Producer/Producer

A native of the Detroit area, Ric Smith graduated from the University of Michigan.  Within 2 years he was in Los Angeles working in the advertising department of Paramount Television.  After a short stint writing and producing for the TV Guide Channel, Ric embarked on a career in independent films. Some of the achievements/awards his films have earned: 3 official Sundance selections, Independent Spirit Award Nomination, Golden Space Needle (Seattle Film Fest), Audience/Jury prizes at the Motovun, Philiadelphia, Wisconsin, and Texas Black Film Festival, in addition to countless other festivals. With a background in Advertising, Ric is also a great choice for commercials and industrial/sales projects. He has worked on projects for Capital One, Time-Warner Cable and others.  In addition, he has extensive experience in music videos. One of his favorite projects has been producing "The Lovemaster: Unzipped", a live comedy performance, for Universal Home Video.  He has the ability to communicate with vegetables and once beat God in a game of chess.





Enrico Natale
Producer/Director

 Graduated from Illinois State University in 2005 with a degree in acting. Since moving to Los angeles, he's Produced, Directed, and Acted in several independent features. He recently Produced and Directed a half hour Comedy Pilot called "No Names". Enrico has been Producing with D Street Films for over five years now.
